Some cancer treatments can affect your ability to have children in the future. Your Doctor will say your fertility may be affected, and you may be offered ‘fertility preservation’ – for example, sperm storage if you are male. If you are told that your fertility may be affected, it is often not possible to predict whether this will be the case, and whether it will return after you finish treatment. This can cause worry and anxiety, and you may want to talk to your Doctor or Nurse about the impact treatment is likely to have.
